Interview & Intro to the Koru Game Internship:
-I had the interview with Natalie over Skype, she sent me an
agreement form, and also a link to the website: The Koru Game Project is a
charity. I’d be working via an internship with hours ranging from 4-12 hours a
week, with the opportunity to put more hours in at my discretion.

Dear Leonita Grace Gaspard,
This letter confirms the
arrangements relating to your unpaid internship with HiHi Trust to take part in the KoRu projects, in quality of:
Ref. K/015 - 3D Artists (Modelers, Animators, Generalists)
The purpose of this letter is to describe
reasonable expectations between
us. This letter
is not intended to be or give
rise to a legally binding contract between us and your internship may be terminated at any time by either of us.
You will not be a member of staff and the
regulations governing employment with HiHi Trust
will not apply to you. For example, you will not be entitled to any
paid holiday,
or statutory sick pay when
unable to attend any part of your internship when expected because of illness.
The essence of this arrangement is that you are free to
choose whether or not you
carry out activities during the
suggested hours, and, equally, there
is no obligation on HiHi Trust
to provide you with work or activities. Neither of us intends any employment relationship to be created either now or at any time in the
future, in the eventuality that the
opportunity will arise, a new agreement will be taken into consideration.
1.
Internship
Your internship will be home based from the 24th November 2014 to 23rd of March 2014. You will have no fixed hours of work, but we hope that you will
usually be able to attend from 4 up to 12 hours a week. There is
no liability on your part if you do
not attend these hours.
The Koru Team expect you to perform the activities and
achieve the learning objectives as
proposed in the Role description to the best of your ability and to maintain appropriate standards of
behaviour at all times. We will also expect you to comply with our rules, policies, procedures, standards and instructions.
2.
Induction
and training
We will provide an induction explaining who we
are and what we do. We will support you appropriately for the activities that
you may undertake during your internship: Skype Conferences, Individual
interviews/tutorials, facebook groups, Google
Education tools.
3.
Supervision
and support
You can expect us to deal with you fairly and in
accordance with our equal
opportunities policy.
Your main points of contact during
your internship are the Project Manager Intern, the
PA/Production Manager Intern, the Art & Creative directors, the Team
Leader and the other Team members. We will arrange for you to have regular meetings to discuss your learning
goals and assignments, as well as to answer
any questions you may have.
Please give Project Manager
Intern, the PA/Production Manager Intern, the Art & Creative directors as much notice as possible, if
you are unable to attend any part of your internship when expected.
4.
Expenses
Your internship is a voluntary activity and,
therefore is not subject to the National
Minimum Wage legislation. Hihi Trust will reimburse certain out-of-pocket expenses, incurred in connection with your internship, only if specifically requested by Hihi Trust and previously agreed in written
form by the Board of Trustee.
6. Confidentiality
In the course of your internship,
you may have access to confidential information in relation to HiHi Trust and The Koru Projects or our clients. You
will be required to enter into a separate
legally binding Confidentiality Agreement under which you will
undertake not to misuse or wrongfully disclose this information to any person either during your internship or at any
time afterwards.
Please acknowledge receipt and acceptance of this letter
by signing, dating and returning the
enclosed copy.

Confidentiality Agreement
It is understood and agreed to that the below identified discloser of confidential information may provide certain information that is and must be
kept confidential. To ensure the protection of such information, and to preserve
any confidentiality necessary under patent and/or trade secret laws, it is agreed that:
1. The Confidential Information to
be disclosed can be described as and includes:
Invention description(s),
technical and business information relating to
proprietary ideas and inventions, ideas, patentable ideas,
trade secrets, drawings
and/or illustrations, patent searches, existing and/or contemplated
products and services, research and
development, production, costs, profit and margin
information, finances and financial projections, customers, clients, marketing, and current or future business plans and
models, regardless of whether such
information is designated as “Confidential Information” at the time of its disclosure.
2. The Recipient agrees not to
disclose the confidential information obtained from the discloser to anyone unless required to do so by law.
3. This Agreement states the entire agreement
between the parties
concerning the disclosure of Confidential Information.
Any addition or modification to this Agreement must be made in writing and signed by the parties.
4. If any of the provisions of this Agreement
are found to be unenforceable, the remainder shall be enforced as fully as possible and the unenforceable provision(s) shall be deemed
modified to the limited extent
required to permit
enforcement of the Agreement as a whole.
WHEREFORE, the parties
acknowledge that they have read and understand this Agreement and
voluntarily accept the duties and obligations set forth herein.

COPYRIGHT WAIVER FORM
KoRu (working title)
In quality of Intern and/ or Volunteer, collaborating at the creation of
the film, animation, 2d/3d games, publishing and related
products, I agree on the following:
1) All the individual original
artworks, visual research, sketches, 2d/3d art will be of property of the interns and volunteers,
parts of the music and musical composition, sound researches, sound
compositions while Hihi trust retains all the intellectual property and
copyrights on the story and on the
whole work in progress and finished results of KoRu project and all its related products. Therefore:

the individual
artists and musicians are free to sell their own original artworks and soundtracks, display them in their
portfolios, sell them online through internet resellers. In order to be sold in multiple
copies, downloadable online, Hihi Trust requires to the artist, of any 2d artworks
and/or 3d models, to change the copy in a
way that is not completely the same as the original models, and artworks, eventually used in the film, games or
any related products, in order not to infringe any future relationships with sponsors and third parties.
2) Hihi Trust hold the "Intellectual Property " of KoRu and
all the related products, including
flilm, animation feature film, Tv series, games and various products.

The final
design and style-guides of the KoRu projects, along with any finished soundtracks and screenplay, are periodically registered
with the competent authorities, to avoid any copyrights infringments.
3) Hihi Trust retains all the rights, title, interest and property in
/of the KoRu film, games, animations, books, gadgets and all related products.
4) I understand that this film (or part of it) may be distributed by the producer
in any medium in any part of the world. The interns and volunteers at the KoRu projects will be listed in the credits and on the website of Hihi Trust.
Further, I hereby agree to waive all moral rights in the
Intellectual Property Rights.
I understand the nature of the project and my
role in it has been explained to me, and I
have agreed to collaborate on this project for NO FEE.
