Week 5

CV/Cover Letter modifications and Interview:

-I got a response from Natalie fairly quickly and so responded to her with a copy of my CV and Covering Letter and also a link to my portfolio.
After that, she asked for my Skype ID, as this was the primary form of communication with team members. This was also to arrange for an interview with her via a Skype call.

Here is a copy of the CV and Covering Letter I constructed for the Koru Game Project:

Cover Letter:

30 October 2014
Dear Natalie Massone,

In the follow up to my expressed interest in the KoRu Game Project:

I believe that I would be a great addition to the team, as I have great attention to detail and I'm a very hardworking individual who now in my 3rd year of the course, and am more confident in the work that I undertake, both 2D and 3D. Having had an opportunity to experience the different areas of work that is required for the game industry, I am confident to say that I have solidified my passion for both 2D and 3D art and want to kick-start a career as a 3D Environmental Artist.

Having now worked with a range of programmes for both 2D and 3D work like: Autodesk Maya, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects & Flash, I am comfortable with my ability to use these programmes to help deliver quality work, in my own time as well as for the KoRu game project.

Now in my 3rd year of university, I have had the opportunity to work towards a range of

different tasks and goals, as well as work with a range of people. Working in both small teams of 2 as well as larger groups of 10 as I am currently doing now, has given me the ability to both express my own opinion and listen to others, ensuring that everybody creates a product that is consistent throughout while also embodying the skills and style of each individual.

I believe I would be a suitable fit for the KoRu game project specifically, as I am a fan of the art direction, and believe that my artistic vision will blend well with the specification for the role.

My maturity, practical experience, and willingness to learn will make me an excellent addition to the team. I am fully prepared to work towards the best of my ability and provide quality work that will be intended for the KoRu game project.

Thank you so much for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
Leonita Gaspard
